Technava and Propulsion Analytics join forces

Technava and Propulsion Analytics are launching a new strategic partnership aiming at providing state-of-the-art performance management solutions to the shipping industry in Greece and Cyprus.

The core technology behind the products and services to be offered under the partnership, is the Engine Hyper Cube® software, by Propulsion Analytics, which through comparison of routine engine measurements taken by the shipping company, with its digital twin, based on an advanced thermodynamic simulation model custom-tuned for each engine, reliably provides fault diagnostics, prognostics, optimisation recommendations and information towards condition-based maintenance.

Technava under the agreement, signed in April 2018, will act as an exclusive distributor of the Engine Hyper Cube® software and associated services for Greece and Cyprus for all conventional and electronic, 2 or 4 stroke, Diesel, Gas or dual-fuel marine engines (WinGD 2-stroke engines are already covered by the WinGD-WiDE service distributed by Technava).

Stella Tomazos, Managing Director of Technava SA, stated: “Propulsion Analytics possess unique technical expertise on Engines’ Performance monitoring, providing advanced solutions, through the use of simulation models and data analytics, enabling operators to assess, diagnose and optimise engine performance. Technava is looking forward to embracing sales and promotion of Propulsion Analytics products and services in the Greek & Cypriot Market”.

Panos Theodossopoulos, CEO of Propulsion Analytics, commented: “We are really happy to embark on this partnership with a market leader like Technava, with whom we are sharing the same customer-centric philosophy, in order to jointly offer performance monitoring solutions to the Greek and Cypriot markets. In the era of digitalisation, where everything can be logged, we strive, through our products and services, to help our customers extract meaning from their data towards minimizing the unexpected downtime of their assets, while reducing their operating cost”.

The partnership aims to provide an integrated portfolio of products and services in the area of performance monitoring, energy efficiency and operational optimization, ranging from a shore office software platform for Fleet Data Management & Performance Analysis, all the way to performance assessment outsourcing and consulting services.

Technava was founded in 1968 aiming to supply marine equipment and technical support to the Greek Shipping Industry. Today, it is one of the leading companies in the supply, installation and service of equipment on board all types of ships.

Propulsion Analytics, founded in 2014, is an innovative company offering products and services primarily focusing on ship engine performance monitoring, utilizing simulation models and machine learning techniques, for performance assessment, fault diagnosis and optimisation in service.
