Propulsion Analytics and GasLog Ltd. have won the Bronze Award in the category “ Shipping, Transport & Logistics” at the BITE (Business Information Technology Excellence) Awards 2025. The BITE Awards is an important institution celebrating technological innovation in Greece. These awards recognize and reward outstanding achievements in the ICT market, in the development and utilization of IT applications.
This Bronze award honors the successful collaboration between Propulsion Analytics a Greek software company and Gaslog an owner, operator and manager of LNG carriers , for the development of the Digital Engine Management (DiEM) Platform, a system for Engine Management, Performance Assessment and Condition Based Maintenance, and its application across GasLog’s fleet. DiEM is using digital-twins of engines for performance assessment, and Machine Learning for fault pattern recognition, and merges diagnostic methods including thermodynamic models, engine lubricant analysis, vibration data and thermography data for increased diagnostic accuracy. DiEM supports decisions to extend the operational lifetime of “healthy” components beyond time-based maintenance intervals, and connects to Planned Maintenance Systems and Spares purchasing, to allow timely procurement of overhaul services, which further optimizes asset management, for reduced Total Cost of Ownership.
