Engine Hyper Cube® fleetwide at Tsakos Columbia Shipmanagement (“TCM”) S.A.

Following an extensive testing period in 2020, Tsakos Columbia Shipmanagement (TCM) S.A., decided for fleetwide application of the Engine Hyper Cube® (EHC) engine performance assessment software of Propulsion Analytics (PA). The agreement, arranged by Technava S.A., agents of PA in Greece, includes main and auxiliary engines of the TCM fleet. The setup started in May 2021 for 10 vessels and is expected to be completed for ~80 vessels  by end of year 2021.

Thus TCM will employ EHC, which incorporates thermodynamic digital-twin technology and is the most advanced engine performance analysis application available in the market today. EHC enables detailed evaluation of performance and consumption of main and auxiliary engines, accurate benchmarking across the fleet, diagnostics of component faults and prognostics leading to preventive maintenance of engines.

“In view of impending strict legislation, the marine industry leading companies turn to advanced technology, to retain and improve their position. The decision by TCM to employ the most advanced performance evaluation application EHC of our principals Propulsion Analytics, underscores this maxim”, said Dimitris Koliaroudakis, Manager of Project Department, Technava S.A.

“We believe that our products for engine and vessel performance evaluation are the most accurate applications in the market today . We are delighted to share with TCM our strive for excellence”, said Iakovos Karakas, Technical Manager of Propulsion Analytics.
