Propulsion Analytics and Gaslog in CIMAC 2025, Zurich

A joint paper by Propulsion Analytics and Gaslog, titled “DiEM- A platform for Digital Engine Management and Condition Based Maintenance for LNG fleets.” was presented at the 31st CIMAC World Congress 2025, which took place in May 2025, Zurich, Switzerland.

The paper describes the design and development of the DiEM platform which uses digital-twins of engines for performance assessment, and Machine Learning for fault pattern recognition, and merges diagnostic methods including thermodynamic models, engine lubricant analysis, vibration data, thermography data, for increased diagnostic accuracy. DiEM supports decisions to extend the operational lifetime of “healthy” components beyond time-based maintenance intervals, for reduced Total Cost of Ownership.
