Propulsion Analytics’ Engine Hyper Cube® V.4.X Receives ABS Product Design Assessment Certification

Propulsion Analytics is proud to announce that the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has issued a Product Design Assessment (PDA) certificate for its Engine Hyper Cube® V.4 application, recognizing it as a Smart Function for Machinery Health Monitoring (MHM – Tier 2).

Vessels utilizing Engine Hyper Cube® are now eligible to receive the ABS Smart MHM optional class notation for propulsion and auxiliary engines, allowing application of alternative crediting of machinery as part of a Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP-CBM).

Utilizing Engine Hyper Cube within a Preventive Maintenance Program, engines are monitored continuously while overhauls are based on actual equipment condition, enhancing reliability and lowering maintenance cost.

About Engine Hyper Cube

Engine Hyper Cube® is a cloud-based software application designed for health monitoring, performance evaluation, and detailed diagnostics of internal combustion engines used in marine propulsion and power generation.

The application compares engine measurement data with a physics-based digital twin to provide:

  • Accurate detection of engine and sensor faults
  • Recommended corrective actions to support efficient troubleshooting
  • Improved maintenance planning to fit vessel trading schedules and minimize maintenance cost .
