Propulsion Analytics expands collaboration with WinGD towards Condition-Based Maintenance of Engine Components

Our long-term cooperation with Swiss marine power company WinGD for the development and application of the engine monitoring and remote support platform WiDE (WinGD integrated Digital Expert) is expanding towards condition-based maintenance, in an effort to further reduce maintenance costs and maximise engine availability. The novel predictive maintenance application is being trialed in collaboration with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), on an LNG gas carrier vessel managed by BSM.

Within this project Propulsion Analytics and WinGD shall define faults, improve diagnostics and formulate a scheme for condition-based maintenance recommendations, using algorithms to estimate the components’ remaining useful life. The classification society Lloyd’s Register will provide support and verification of the methods applied.
